Nathaniel Waring
Nathaniel Waring is a lifelong competitive open water swimmer and has swam in over 75 countries. He has set the course record for the 18 km swim from Tahiti to Morea, has sailed across the Pacific and has swum from Spain to Morocco, St Lucia to Martinique, and Sardinia to Corsica.
Currently based on the magical island of Florianopolis in southern Brazil Nathaniel is building the Waterman Centre a co-work/play/live/swim retreat on the beach. Human beings have both an innate love and fear of the ocean. Nathaniel’s passion is to help people enter the ocean in a safe and respectful manner, to learn to read the waves and the currents and to feel at home in the ocean and discover the inner ‘waterman’ in all of us.
