Costa Rica

Project Zero is working with Raising Coral in Costa Rica to restore degraded reefs in the Pacific and Caribbean. The Raising Coral team is not only restoring reefs, but building on the ground capacity in Costa Rica, training people to participate in restoring their reefs and engaging local communities in the process. Coral reefs are home to over 1 million species and restoring them creates healthy places in the ocean - essential to battling the climate crisis - restoring fisheries and revitalizing tourism.
