Coral Reefers is a collection of 4,500 carbon neutral, generative, evolving digital artwork — unique digital collectables living on the Ethereum blockchain that evolves over time and raises money to restore real-life coral reefs. The Coral Reefers collection has five base forms on three different backgrounds - white, black and off-white.  Each Coral Reefers transforms over a six-week period or seven generations of growth.  At the fourth generation of growth, a rarity trait will appear on random Coral Reefers.  

But best of all, your Coral Reefer helps restore real world coral reefs, and doubles as your Seaverse membership, granting access to members-only benefits. The first is access to The Cave, a place to meet with other Seaverse members, listen to music, and meet climate and ocean health experts. The Seaverse community will be unlocking future surprises through roadmap activation.Sitting on the Supreme Council of the Seaverse and sworn to protect their watery home, Coral Reefers are five guardians of the ocean. Their supernatural powers protect the ocean from invaders, and also bring good fortune and joy to those that join them in their mission to keep the sea pristine and teaming with life.

There are no bonding curves here. Scoring Coral Reefers costs 0.031 ETH ($50 USD). There are no price tiers; membership costs are the same for everyone. Note: 215 NFTs are being withheld from the sale to be used for giveaways, rewards, and Project Zero Ambassador and Seaverse memberships.

CARBON NEUTRAL

Project Zero and the Seaverse Community is working to restore the ocean and turn the tide on the climate crisis. We chose to wait until the ETH merge to release Coral Reefers to make sure we are not generating additional CO2. On top of that, we have earmarked funds to restore vital powerful blue carbon ecosystems – mangroves, seagrass and tidal marshes – to sequester the world’s excess CO2. Seagrass alone sequesters 35 times more CO2 than terrestrial forests. 

The Coral Reefers collection has five unique digital collectable forms on three different background colours (white, black and gradient) that evolve into a human form over the course of 6 weeks or seven generations.

Upon initial minting of Coral Reefer’s artwork on the primary market, the purchaser receives one of five base forms featuring different starter corals.

Two days later, more coral begins to grow on your Coral Reefers form.

Vote on which artwork will appear on specialty merchandise. If more than 50% of the community votes, everyone's Reefer evolves in one day; if less than 50% of the community votes, everyone waits five days for the next evolution in their Reefer.

Each Coral Reefers is fully grown at six weeks or seven generations from the time of sale. Every Coral Reefers artwork is locked so that future actions do not influence its shape, structure, or rarity.

HOW TO SCORE CORAL REEFERS

Download and install a Chrome browser plugin - or wallet - called MetaMask.

If your account is new, buy some Ether. The MetaMask plugin has a button that will allow you to buy Ether using your credit card, by bank transfer, or through an exchange like Coinbase.

Once you have Metamask installed, hit the Score Coral Reefers button, and this website will connect to your wallet and allow you to buy Coral Reefers.

Your Coral Reefers digital art will serve as your digital identity and open digital doors for you. When you score a Coral Reefer, you’re not simply buying a beautiful, generative piece of art and helping to restore coral reefs. You are also gaining membership access to THE SEAVERSE, whose benefits and offerings will increase over time.

To access members-only areas such as The Cave, Coral Reefers will need to be signed into their crypto wallet so that the collab.land bot can grant access to exclusive areas.

  • Yes! We have an active and expanding community. The Cave in our Seaverse channel is NFT-gated (you must hold a Coral Reefers to enter) inside the Project Zero Discord. Once inside, you will have access to private Seaverse channels that will include information on the NFT’s growth, community events, upcoming drops, and more.

  • Coral Reefers lives on the newly merged Eth network, which is 99.99% carbon neutral. To be totally carbon neutral/carbon negative, the Coral Reefers project has offset that .01% generated through Coral Reefers through Aerial.

  • Each mint will randomly select from one of 5 base forms and three different coloured backgrounds. This will be generation 1 in a 7-generation journey for your Coral Reefer. Your Coral Reefer will evolve over the course of six weeks. After six weeks/7 generations, the artwork is locked and will no longer evolve.

  • When you mint, the system will randomly choose your artwork from one of 5 base forms, on three different backgrounds (Generation 1). The second generation will happen 2 days after the mint (Generation 2). Attend a very special event in The Cave in Project Zero's Discord to motivate the next generation (Generation 3). If you do not attend the event, your Coral Reefers will still evolve, but at a slower rate. After 5 days, Coral Reefers will evolve again (Generation 4). Attend a very special event in The Cave in Project Zero's Discord to motivate the next generations (Generation 5). If you do not attend this second event, your Coral Reefers will still evolve, but at a slower rate. Vote on which piece of artwork will appear on exclusive Coral Reefers merchandise in The Cave to motivate the next generation (Generation 6). After 5 days, your Coral Reefers the next generation (Generation 7) will occur, and the artwork will be locked from further changes.
